Stop Doing That!

Stop Trying Harder!

How many times in the past have your teachers or parents told you that you have so much potential, you just need to TRY HARDER?

How many times have you told yourself to just use willpower and TRY HARDER? Well, STOP THAT!

Would you ever say to a diabetic, “You should be ashamed of yourself for not being able to control your blood sugar! Come on, just try harder! Where’s your willpower?”

ADHD is a neurological condition, and no amount of “trying harder” is going to change anything. So I hereby give you permission to drop the shame, stop trying harder and stop willing yourself to “just do the thing”.

But Where Does That Leave Me?

know. That’s all well and good. But where do you go from there?

You know that saying about the definition of insanity as “doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result?” Well now’s your chance to break that cycle! May I suggest trying different instead of trying harder?

What exactly works for you can take a bit of thought, problem-solving, out-of-the

-box thinking and creativity. But that’s ok. I KNOW these are things you’re awesome at! My new free N.I.C.E & Easy Guide to Getting Stuff Done is a great place to start.

OK I got the Guide. Now What?

Keep this guide accessible after you've gone through it and built your personal N.I.C.E. brain-hacks! You can reapply them to other areas of your life so you won’t have to reinvent the wheel. Living with ADHD, you probably know something about reinventing wheels!

(BTW, this is exactly what I do when I work with you. I am an ADHD expert and you are a YOU expert. Together we co-create strategies for trying things differently.)

Sound good?

Let’s Stop the Shame Cycle Together!

Where do you just feel like you keep hitting your head against a brick wall? Where do you find yourself pushing yourself to “just try harder”?
